With the acceleration of the urbanization process, the road infrastructure construction of the old city has been basically completed, most of the roads have exceeded the design life, into the renovation period. The old road transformation from the traditional "car-oriented" to "people-oriented", from "traffic function" to "traffic, landscape and ecology". Not only the improvement of traffic function, but also the improvement of road landscape and ecological environment should be considered. The formulation and implementation of renovation schemes is often more complex and involves more considerations than building new roads. The paper expounds the concept and technical measures of fine design based on the upgrading of main roads in Xi "an Huyi old town, which is of reference value for the reconstruction of old roads in the future.
