Abstract:The expansion of large-scale transportation facilities is often accompanied with a further increase of passenger flow. It is necessary to upgrade and reconstruct its surrounding road facilities. As one of two important passenger transport airports in Shanghai, the passenger throughput of Shanghai Pudong International Airport has increased year by year since it was put into use. Based on the actual design scheme for the reconstruction of roads surrounding the airport, the difficulties encountered in the reconstruction and expansion of road facilities around large-scale transportation facilities are analyzed from three perspectives of overall scheme design, adjacent engineering connections and traffic organization during construction. The reconstruction scheme for S32 Interchange is put forward to form the expressway collecting-distributing system of T3 Terminal in Pudong Airport, which satisfies the external communication demands of T3 Terminal in Pudong Airport.
