回顾城市轨道交通视频监控系统的三个发展阶段：模拟、准数字、网络视频监控系统，详细总结了这三代视频监控系统的特点、架构及性能优劣，指出视频监控系统目前正朝着数字化、网络化、全高清、智能化、直存化、集成化等六个方向发展，最后对视频监控系统未来发展远景进行了展望。

In order to give references for video surveillance system construction＇s design selection and scheme application in urban rail transit，authors make a review of the three phases of the development of Urban Ｒail Transit Video Surveillance System，that is， the analog，quasi-digital and network video surveillance systems． The characteristics，structure，advantages and disadvantages of the three generations of video surveillance system were analyzed and summarized in detail then． The video monitoring system is now moving toward digital，networked，full high definition ( HD) ，intelligent，direct-storage，and integrated development directions． Future long-term perspective of video monitoring system development is prospected．
