Based on the in-depth interpretation of the guidelines for the planning and construction of new towns in Shanghai, this paper analyzes and judges the spatial structure characteristics of Shanghai and the future traffic demand characteristics of new towns, and then puts forward the traffic development vision and Strategies of the comprehensive traffic system of new towns in Shanghai at the national and international levels, at the level of urban agglomerations and metropolitan areas, and at the internal level of new towns.
