This article considers microgenetic algorithms (GAs), which explore in a small population with a few genetic operators, for cutting-path optimization problems. The major difference between GAs and simple genetic algorithms (SGAs) is how to make a reproductive plan for an improved searching technique because of population choice. It is shown that GAs implementation reaches the near-optimal region much earlier than the SGAs approach, and the GAs give a better solution than simulated annealing (SA). The main objective was to determine what temperature distribution can be obtained from the solution of a travelling distributed heat source. The solution of the travelling heat source on nested raw plate provides information about the vertices of each nested part of the raw plate. From the fact that the initial temperature at a piercing point strongly depends on the heat flow which stems from the previous cutting contour, the temperature of all piercing points must be lower than the critical temperature after each cutting of the components of a part. The critical temperature is identified as the mechanical melting temperature of steels. A heuristic back-tracking method is introduced to find the near-optimum cutting path considering the minimum heat effect on deformation. The heuristic back-tracking method is incorporated with the GAs.  相似文献

Many accidents are caused by fatigue in welded built-up steel structures, and so it is important to estimate the fatigue lives of such structures quantitatively for safety reasons. By assuming that fatigue cracks cannot grow without an accumulation of alternating tensile/compressional plastic strain, one of the authors identified an improved effective stress intensity factor range ΔK RPG based on the re-tensile plastic zone generating (RPG) load, which represents the driving force for fatigue cracks, and suggested that ΔK RPG should be used as the parameter to describe fatigue crack growth behavior. The “FLARP” numerical simulation code in which ΔK RPG is implemented as the fatigue crack growth parameter, was developed in order to predict fatigue crack initiation and propagation behavior. In this paper, it is demonstrated that FLARP gives accurate estimates for fatigue life by comparing the estimated fatigue crack growth curves and SN curves with the experimental results for in-plane gusset welded joints, which are used in many welded steel structures. Moreover, the effect of induced bending moment due to the linear misalignment in the out of plane direction on the fatigue strength of in-plane gusset welded joints is investigated through numerical simulations.  相似文献

基于离散选择理论,提出了车辆跟驰模型.考虑七个选择肢中的加减速度,采用选择肢特定参数反映出不同选择肢的吸引程度.为了避免换道行为的干扰,利用HOV车道的车辆数据对模型进行标定和验证.结果显示,大多数的标定参数在95%的置信水平下都是较为显著的.此外,模型反映出的不同的车头间距及速度下的驾驶员对不同加减速度的选择趋势与日常驾驶行为完全吻合.验证结果表明,对于实际状况下被选择的选择肢,大于1/7 (每个选择肢的平均预测概率) 的预测概率的比例大于87%.从观测比例的角度看,实际观测值与模型的预测值之间差异并不显著.最后应用模型模拟30分钟的单车道交通状况.  相似文献

This study analyzes the performances of updating techniques in transferability of mode choice models in developing countries. A model specification, estimated in Ho Chi Minh City, was transferred to Phnom Penh. Naïve transfer and four updating methods associated with small sized samples were used in the transfer process and were evaluated based on statistical perspective and predictive ability. The study also illustrates the problems faced in model transferability development, due to the lack of available and suitable data in Phnom Penh. This lack is strongly related to different methods and structures applied in collecting the data. Simplified approaches to the difficulties are proposed in the study. The results show that updating ASCs, updating both ASCs and scale parameter, and use of combined transfer estimators all produce significant improvement, both statistically and in predictability, in updating the model. The last two methods have proven to be superior to the first method, owing to the inclusion of transfer bias considerations in the estimations. However, small data samples should not have large transfer bias when using combined transfer estimators. It is also concluded that naïvely transferring a model is not recommended, and Bayesian updating should be avoided when transfer bias exists. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Marine biomass such as seaweed and fishery waste is a potential energy source although it has not yet been practically utilized. This work focuses on renewable energy technologies, particularly anaerobic digestion, for the utilization of various organic wastes as energy resources. Primarily fundamental data for the efficient operation of an anaerobic digestion plant with marine biomass was obtained and a practical operation method was proposed using a simple model based on the carbon mass balance. Batch-processing experiments for seaweed, fishery waste and vegetable waste were carried out and each digestion characteristic was presented. The results indicate that fishery waste is the most efficient even though the accumulation of ammonium ions may inhibit methane production. Seaweeds are not efficient in either the production rate or the yield of methane gas. We investigated the efficient continuous operation for 6 biomass input scenarios with the proposed model. The results show that seaweed can be a useful supplement for the efficient operation.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This article examines the spatial transferability of mode choice models in developing countries. An evaluation of the updating procedure and sample size are also included in the study. Because of the insufficiency of model coefficients in explaining differences in unmeasured modal attributes, naïvely transferring a model is not recommended. An understanding of the transport characteristics in both the estimation context and the application context is required, in order to justify whether a variable is transferable or not. Four updating procedures – updating alternative specific constants (ASCs), updating ASCs and scale parameter, the combined transfer estimator and Bayesian updating associated with three sets of small sample sizes – are applied to improve transferability. In general, the first three approaches produce significant improvements. It is also proposed that a minimum small sample size of 400 observations is necessary for updating purposes.  相似文献

We investigated the difference in fatigue behaviour between the aluminium alloys A5083-O and A5083-H321, which are used as structural components in ships and high speed craft. We obtained S–N curves for the base materials and the welded joints made of A5083-O. The relationships between the fatigue crack propagation rates and the stress intensity factor ranges ΔK, ΔK eff and ΔK RPG (Toyosada et al. in Int J Fatigue 26(9):983–992, 2004) were determined. Additionally, the evolution of fatigue crack growth for the base materials and the welded joints made of A5083-O was measured. We also carried out numerical simulations of fatigue crack growth for both base metals and their welded joints made of A5083-O. The difference in fatigue crack growth behaviour for each alloy and the validity of the numerical simulations of fatigue crack growth based on the RPG stress criterion (Toyosada et al. 2004) in the base materials and their welded joints was investigated.  相似文献

建立了带正确使用条件的4种类型儿童座椅(利用车辆座椅安全带锚固的5点式背带型、护板型和着衣型及采用ISOFIX锚固的5点式背带型)正面碰撞台车试验有限元仿真模型,并分别进行仿真和试验校验.接着采用同样的有限元模型进行误使用条件下的仿真分析.结果表明,4种类型儿童座椅在误使用情形下的假人伤害值都比正确使用情形时大;而采用ISOFIX锚同的5点式背带型儿童座椅的保护性能比其他3种类型更优越.  相似文献
