Suzhou public transport priority technology and strategy research

Suzhou city is facing a critical period that trip mode is changing to motorized way. As the important strategy to ease urban congestion, public transport priority is the important safeguard of Suzhou sustainable development. First, the paper analyses the significance of priority to the development of public transport to suzhou. Then, it expounds the Suzhou public transportation development challenges and discusses how to guarantee bus priority development from plan, policy, management and technical measures, for example, the lane location choice of public transportation lane, isolation method and traffic signs, stop setting form and so on.
