Abstract:To fight the battle for the prevention and control of air pollution from ships, promote the development of the maritime supervision system integrating "Land, Sea, Air and Space" of China Maritime Safety Administration, and improve the automation level of ship exhaust monitoring within China’s seas, inland rivers, and waters with complex environmental conditions, this paper studies the small-sized ship exhaust gas sniffing sensor and employs drones carrying sniffing sensors to monitor in real time the SO2and CO2concentrations of ships’ exhaust gas, which are used to calculate the sulfur content of the ship’s fuel oil. Experimental tests were conducted on ships sailing in the key waters of Shanghai(Emission Control Area),and the monitoring results of the exhaust gas from sea-going vessels were collected under different captains in different waters.It comprehensively analyzes the practice of ships’ fuel consumption, and provides new technical means for the maritime law enforcement. Based on the above, the paper concludes that it is feasible to promote the application of the advanced supervision mode of drones for the remote measurement of ships’ exhaust gas, with the aim of establishing a model for the efficient and precise supervision of ship air pollutant emission within China’s control areas.
