| Abstract: | The highway incident detection plays an important role in incident management system. Many research works are being done in automatic detection for its high detection rate, but low cost and without weather restriction. The key part in automatic detection system is incident detection algorithm. In this paper, the theories and characteristics of all popular incident detection algorithms are analyzed. Based on the analysis of their advantages and disadvantages, a more effective incident detection method is presented. |
