Software Configuration Management and its Process Implementation

Software configuration management (SCM), usually called configuration management, can solve many difficult problems encountered in resource and process management throughout the whole software life cycle. It can bring software development onto a repeatable, manageable way. After the introduction of some important concepts in SCM, this paper pays more attention to SCM process, including actuality evaluation, planning, tool choosing and implementation strategy.
