| Abstract: | we applied polymerase-chain-reaction(PCR)technique to the examination of TB-DNA of the peripheral blood samples of 44 patients with tuberculosis,and the results showed that the sensitivity was 47.7% and the specifity was 90.6%.After we had conducted a controlled study on mycobacterum tuberculosis DNA in peripheral blood and that in hydrothorax, we found more positive cases from hydrothorasis examination than from peripheral blood examination. In this paper we will evaluate the application of PCR in the diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy and discuss some factors that influence the results of TB-DNA-PCR. |
