Several Dissemination Models of Science in Late Qing Dynasty

This paper systematically discusses the dissemination of western science into China in Late Qing dynasty. The dissemination of science was accomplished though translation and publication of books, ports, overseas students, schools and material objects. The paper analyzes the causes for the climax of science diffusion in Late Qing dynasty, and brings forward the feasibility and necessity of the study of interaction between Western science and Chinese traditional culture. Finally, it summarizes the characteristics, functions and relations of various kinds of dissemination models. Therefore, it is instrumental in better realizing today's science dissemination.
