Abstract:
A lot of attention has been given to the effects of cell adhesion molecules(cAM).In thispaper,the immunohistochemistry method was used to compare and investigate in situ expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1,CD54)in gastric carcinoma and chronic gastritis.The result showed that,by comparison with normal mucosa of stomach,there were a great number Of ICAM-1 cells infiltrating.the numbers of the cells were paralleled to the degree of the pathologicchanges.Meanwhile,there were muck fewer ICAM-1 cells in gastric carcinoma tissue.More thanthat,the fewer ICAM-1 cells were seen in the lower differentiated tumors than those in higher differentiated ones. This suggests that ICAM-1 is related to the local immunological tolerence of gastriccarcinoma.
