The Application of the GPS Technology in the Observation and Survey

This paper introduces the basic requirement on the section measuring of the road.It compares the advantages and shortcomings between the GPS technology and the traditional surveying methods.Then it introduces in detail the calculation of the transferring parameter by GPS surveying,the errors in the GPS surveying and an example of GPS surveying.At last it puts forward a few items which should be paid attention to in the surveying by GPS.
