Regional trucking investigation and statistics is new which is based on the conception of region.In the past the conception of freight transportation was not very clear.People often mix up the freight transportation in some regions.The object of regional freight transportation investigation and statistics is to find out the road freight volume which done by the regional trucks and we want to make it clear that how much freight to and from the region area.This paper analyses the characters of trucking in our country and the shortage of present trucking investigation and statistics,then the paper studies on the purpose and significance of regional trucking investigation and statistics and expands on the index system and investigative method to faciliate the development of regional trucking investigation and statistics.
