Discussions on Snow Removing Technology for Highways

It is one of the most important responsibilities of the expressway maintenance departments to remove the snows and ices on the expressway surfaces timely so as to ensure the safety and free-of-blockage of the expressways in winter. In the paper, the significance of the application of new snow-removing agents is expatiated in respect of improving snowremoving efficiency, reducing environment pollution and minimizing the losses induced by traffic accidents. Furthermore, the features, spraying method and application effect of the new snow-removing agents are presented on basis of practical experience. Finally, analysis is made on the economic efficiency and social efficiency of the new snow-removing agents.
