Abstract:To prevent reflective cracking,the geotextile is often layed between cement concrete pavement and asphalt concrete overlay.But cohesion between two layers is reduced after construction of geotextile,so it creates moving of asphalt concrete overlay.The shear stress between old cement concrete pavement and asphalt concrete overlay is analyzed through finite element model.It is found that shear stress is bigger on the assumption of perfectly smooth compared to the assumption of perfectly junction.
