Abstract:This paper outlines the importance of low carbon energy-saving economy to sustainable development in China auto industry under the current tough situation in oil consumption and carbon emissions.ECO concept is put forward and expounded with the combination of experiences of Dongfeng commercial vehicle.Future strategies for energy-saving and emission reduction,such as technology improving,energy recycling,alternative fuels,and new energy vehicles developing are proposed.The paper concludes that the comprehensive competitiveness of China auto industry should be enhanced starting with energy efficiency improving and clean energy structure creating,and centering on the low-carbon energy-saving development,to realize the transformation from auto manufacturing country to the powerful industrial country.
