Abstract:Keeping the power of diesel engine constant is the main task of the control system of diesel electric locomotives. A new type of ccnstant power control system is proposed in response to the problems existing in the combincd speed governor in DF diesel-electric locomotive. With microprocessor 8086 being used as CPU, this system employs such advanced electrcnic devices as isolation amplifier, MOSFETs and Hall sensor. Mernwhile, the mathematical model of the control system under water resistance load is established. This system has becn tested on 250hp diesel engine generator set. The tests show that satisfactory results of the dynamic and static performances of the system have been achieved.
