| Abstract: | Author of the paper introduces the characteristics of lines and stations of the Washington metrorail system and describes the main ideas and practical measures for metro design,operation,service and energy-saving after taking a survey on Washington D. C. The merits and defects involved are analyzed and some suggestions for China to develop and operate its metro system in the future are put forward. |
