Research on the Relation between General National and Provincial Trunk Highways and Social Economy Development

The general national and provincial trunk highways have functions of connecting and bridging in the comprehensive transportation system and play an important role in promoting the development of regional economy. General national and provincial trunk highways and social economy development relying on each other and always reinforce each other. This paper took a comprehensive analysis of the relations between the general national and provincial trunk highway construction and economic and social development and summed a development trend of the general national and provincial trunk highways based on the basis of Jiangsu economic situation and development of highway mileage which would further promote social and economic development.
