“亚当·斯密问题”辨正与转型期中国社会道德建设

所谓＂亚当·斯密问题＂,就是他的两部传世佳作——《道德情操论》与《国富论》对比悬殊、相互矛盾的问题,前者把人们的行为归结于＂同情＂,后者却把人们的行为归结于＂自私＂。由此学界多把亚当·斯密视为伦理学上的利他主义者,经济学上的利己主义者。其实,这是一种误解。历经几百年的发展,市场经济的逐利本性将人的自私、贪婪、不诚信与不择手段挑拨到新的高度,处于转型期的中国现实社会亦不能独善其身,道德文化建设同经济发展相比仍然是一条短腿。我们对此必须有着清醒的认识,积极应对,在推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣的过程中,切实加强道德文化建设,增强民族的凝聚力和创造力。
