Analysis on the causes of ship against bridge collision accidents in the downstream section of the Xijiang River and countermeasures to be taken

This paper briefly analyzes the causes of ship against bridge collision accidents in the downstream section of the Xijiang River,and provides some suggestion on countermeasures to be taken to prevent such collision accident,including regulating the construction and management of bridges,enhancing the safety control in the nearby areas of bridges,improving the capability of vessels passing through bridges and the control capacity over the waters in the vicinity of bridges under severe natural condition.
