Experiment about Effect of Silicon Fume on Medium-strength Concrete＇s Mechanical Property

As a reactive powder, mixing silica fume into concrete can effectively improve the compressive strength, bending strength, wearing resistance and impermeability of concrete. It has been widely used in the research of high-strength and high-performance concrete. Through testing the effect of the different dosage of silica fume on the mechanical properties of medium-strength concrete including compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting strength, stress-strain and elastic modulus, a appropriate dosage of silicon fume mixing into the medium-strength concrete in the rough is obtained, which helps to advance the application value and prospects of silicon fume in road concrete.
