Design Scheme of Slope Stabilization for Highway Embankment Along A River

Because the slope stability of highway subgrade is influenced intensely by natural factors such as water, the suitable scheme of slope stabilization must be chosen in the course of design and construction for the guarantee of subgrade stability and transportation safety. In this paper, take the example of the treatments of embankment slope stabilization along the river by Kaiping-Yangjiang Expressway, the synthetic scheme of stabilizing subgrade slope and strengthening foundation with geogrid reinforcement, three dimensional geomat, slope protection and riprap stone are introduced. At the same time, some problems in design and construction are dealed with.
