From explaining the installation of torsion bar springs and stress analysis, this paper analyzes the state of stress when the luggage compartment is closed, open as well as during its open process. Then, with the help of powerful date processing and formula editing functions, this paper summarizes the formulas used in the calculation process of torsion bar and the force analysis of luggage torsion bar is carried out. The measurement data of tests of the existing luggage boot lid and torsion bar spring are in keeping with the calculation data basically. Excel files can be applied to the design calculation of the luggage torsion bar in the future .
