摘    要:当前我国许多城市的交通拥堵主要产生在干路交叉口,交叉口负担过重导致与相连路段通行能力不均衡是其主要原因。本文提出引入路段掉头交通流组织方式提高干路的畅通性和解决交叉口拥堵问题的新思路,对路段掉头组织方式的思路、优缺点进行了简要阐述,重点分析了该方法在城市干路中应用的可行性,并从路网规划、道路设计和交通管理等方面提出了实施建议。

Abstract:Recently,urban congestions always happen at intersections and the primary reason for these congestions is the imbalance of traffic capacity of intersections and their close-by roads in mainland China.This paper has introduced an unconventional design-median U-turn to solve the above mentioned problem.It has firstly discussed the concept of the median U-turn,its virtues and drawbacks,and then focused on its applicational feasibility in the urban road system.Finally,the paper has put forward some issues that should be considered when the method of median U-turn is applied in the planning of traffic net,road design and traffic management.
