Standardization of the Major Devices in Japan's Linear Metro Vehicles

Standardization of linear metro devices is an efficient way to further reduce construction costs of linear metro. Measures and prerequisites for standardization of major linear metro vehicles in Japan and the achievements of standardization are presented. This article focuses on calculation of train running resistance, relation between the gap and energy consumption of linear motor and other achievements of the key techniques in Japan.
