Abstract:The signal control optimization of single point intersection under bad weather conditions is an important means to reduce intersection delay,reduce traffic accident rate and increase traffic safety factor.Firstly,through the investigation of the weather environment of the target city Liuzhou City,combined with the public release of the data of Liuzhou Meteorological Bureau,this paper makes a cluster analysis of the rain,fog and haze weather in Liuzhou City,and divides all kinds of weather into class Ⅰ,class Ⅱ and class Ⅲ weather according to the impact on intersection delay and saturated headway.Then,the intersection under all levels of weather conditions is optimized by Webster method.Through the improvement of yellow light duration and road traffic volume,the improved Webster method is proposed to reoptimize the bad signals of intersection under primary,secondary and tertiary weather conditions.Through the delay analysis of the optimized intersection,the results show that different signal timing at all levels of bad weather can effectively reduce the traffic delay and improve the intersection capacity.
