Abstract:The steel boxed cofferdam for the south pylon of the 3rd Nanjing Changjiang River Bridge is a dumbbell-shape structure and the launching of its first integral segment is a key step in the construction.In this paper,in the light of the structural features of the cofferdam,the launching conditions,launching construction schemes and construction technique measures that can ensure the launching safety of the first segment of the cofferdam are presented.
