| Abstract: | In view of the problems in the traditional highway vertical curve design, the cubic interpolation spline function replacing the conventional curve is proposed and the formula of function is demonstrated. As the result, the special spline function adapting to the vertical alignment can give a reasonable and simple design result, and be suitable for control points to conform to the real vehicle travel trace on curve. |
