| Abstract: | This paper makes a suggestion about introducing DSC (Digital Selective Calling) into the inland shipping for the purpose of establishing an automatic monitoring system of the ship's position in inland waters, so as to provide reliable distress alerts, meanwhile improve the efficiency and capability of the communications and rescue. |
