以我国铁路运输模式为背景，以列车牵引计算和信号布置原理为基础，综合考虑了轨道电路码序、接触网支柱位置、电分相位置等条件，构建了基于准移动闭塞的铁路区间信号布置优化模型. 设计了模型求解的启发式仿真算法，算法以准移动闭塞条件下信号布置数量最少作为实现的目标. 研制了铁路区间信号布置仿真系统，并进行了信号布置实证分析. 结果表明：与实际信号布置方案相比，仿真布置方案的总信号布置数减少了4个，平均每10公里线路减少约1个信号点；分割轨道电路总长度减少了8464 m，平均每公里线路减少分割长度227 m. 研制的系统初步实现了铁路区间信号的优化布置.
