Methodology of Animated Simulation and Optimization Using Expert Knowledge and Neural Networks

A methodology for expert knowledge and neural networks based computer simulation,animation and optimization is proposed.The paper describes the concepts of optimization- oriented intelligent simulation and animatin analysis,the specification of simulation and optimization goals,the use of expert knowledge,the development of rules,and the mechanism of using neural networks to mimic an imated simulation models and to draw inferences from simulation output.A case study for a flexible manufacturing system is presented.The methodology which is effective in system analysis,Optimization and decision support,provides a practical way tu integrate animated simulation with expert system techniques and neural network models.
