食管鳞状细胞癌中的A、B血型抗原

用我们改良的特异性红细胞粘连试验对50例食管鳞癌的A、B血型抗原进行了研究。由于已往该试验都是在不染色切片上观察,有时难予辨认癌细胞或细胞巢,故我们在抗原反应之前将切片作美兰染色。观察后以5%福尔马林和5%戊二醛的PBS固定切片,然后行H E染色,这样切片可长期保存。50例食管鳞癌标本中之正常上皮均为血型抗原阳性,然47例之癌组织却呈不同程度的血型抗原丢失,完全丢失者28例,部分丢失者19例。将癌组织中血型抗原丢失情况与癌组织的分化程度、浸润性、局部转移、淋巴细胞浸润及纤维性间质增生进行比较,发现血型抗原丢失的程度与癌的分化高低呈负相关关系,而与癌的浸润性、局部转移、淋巴细胞浸润及间质增生无明显关系。我们认为癌组织血型抗原丢失可能是随着细胞癌变而来的去分化现象,癌细胞可能丧失了合成这种抗原的能力。

A and B Blood Group Antigens in Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Esophagus

A and B blood group antigens in tumor tissue of 50 cases of squamous cell carcincma of esophagus were investigated. For detecting the antigens a modified specific red cell adherence assay of Davidsohn was employed. Since in an unstainad secion the cancer cells or cell nests were sometimes difficult to recog nize, sections were stained with methylene blue before the antigen-antibody reaction to perform, that would facilitate the observation. After observation, the tested sections were fixed in 5% glutaldhyde and 5% formalin PBS (pH7.4) and stained with HE, so that the sections could be preserved permanently.A and B antigens were present in normal epithelium in all 50 cases, but lost in different degrees in tumor tissue of 47 cases, 28 lost totally, 19 partially. The extent of the antigens loss in tumor tissue was compared with its degree of differentiation, ability of invasion, regional metastasis, quantity of infiltrating lymphocytes and extent of fibrosis. It was shown that the antigen loss was inversely proportional to tumor differentiation, the more the antigen loss, the lower the tumor differentiation, other factors seemed to have no relation to the antigens loss. These findinges suggest that A and B antigens loss may be a feature of dedifferentiatiation associated with malignant change of normal epithelial cells, the cancer cells may lose their ability to syntheciz the antigens.
