摘    要:西昌机务段正在着手准备对现有的韶山3型4000系列电力机车进行改造。改造的目的是使韶山3型电力机车在使用紧急制动后仍然能使用动力制动(电阻制动)。笔者认为该项改造很有必要,能在危急时刻,提高整个列车的制动力,缩短列车制动距离,防止事故,确保列车的运行安全。但是,笔者也发现在改造的方案中也存在着不足,并提出补救方案。

Abstract:Xichang locomotive depot is preparing to carry out the technical upgrading program for the existing SS3 type 4000 locomotives.The goal of this program is to enhance the SS3 locomotives using both emergency brake and resistance brake.The author consider it is necessary to upgrade the locomotives,which could increase the brake power and reduce the brake distance in an emergency so as to prevent the accident and ensure the safety when the locomotives are moving.Meanwhile,there are some drawbacks of this program,so the remedial measurements are mentioned in this paper.
