Environmental Engineering Standards and Application Analysis of Ship

Environmental engineering standards related to the total ship design and shipboard equipments have been developed and come into practice for marine application. These standards and rules provide a well guidance for the adaptability design of many ship classes, but the problems still exist in the aspects that many standards coexist for a single equipment and some of specified equipments have no standards to comply with. This paper summarizes the application of environmental engineering standards for ship classes and gives an analysis of their features, the quantity of the standards. The analysis results can provide a basis for amendment and perfection of these standards.
