Cause Analysis and Improvement Measures of Surface Defects of Prefabricated Caissons

Caisson fabrication is the section in gravity wharf construction and the quality of it will affect the quality of the whole wharf. Combining the practice of consulting work of the construction of Phase One project of Gravity Caisson Wharf of Shantou Guang＇ao,the usual locations of surface deflects of fabricated caissons,the factors such as materials used, environments and personnel operation causing these deflects were analyzed. The methods to improve the surface quality and the effects gained are also introduced.
