Study the application of HP water mist system in luxury cruise ship

Large luxury cruise vessel is a passenger vessel carrying thousands of passengers with an international route. Due to the characters of excessive number of the cabins located in, the multi-function purposes, the various combustible objects on board and the intensive crowd, there will be serious casualties and huge economic losses following the fire-accident, if such fire is neither under the control nor extinguished at the beginning. The following paper will start from the working principle of the High-pressure water mist fire extinguishing system, combining the character of the cruise vessel''s structure and spaces, with the study of its scope of application, system design and the selection of dedicated proposal to discuss the design principle of such system for the application in the cruise, and to conclude the design method of the system.
