Harnessing Measures to Settlement at Sidewalk Linking-up of Road and Bridge in Soft Soil Region

The high-pressure shrinkage of the soft soil subgrade inevitably results in the split-level appearance by the roadbed settlement and falling at the linking-up of road and bridge because of the rigid and flexible connection. In the past, only the harnessing was carried out to the carriageways from the driving safety, but this problem similarly existing in the sidewalks is overlooked, which will also endanger the personal safety and bring many future troubles to the operation management. In view of this, the article introduces the harnessing measures taken for the sidewalk part combined with the engineering example, and the technical experience and comprehensive benefits.
