With the development of science and technology,automobile industry enjoys a rapid growth and people are pursuing a much more comfortable vehicle,which stimulates the development of automatic transmission.By comparing advantages and shortcomings of different automatic transmissions and illustrates the outstanding advantages of DSG that are different from other automatic transmissions,this paper finally comes to a conclusion that comfort and convenience will represent the future development trend of automatic transmission and the electronic controlled mechanical automatic transmission as DSG will become mainstream of automatic transmission in the future.
