The load test of screw plate type is a testing for determing the bearing capacity of foundation under groundwater level.By engineering example,the paper analyzes the standards for control of p-S curve deformation in load test of screw plate type and determines its value.By means of controlling standards,the engineering algorithm is analyzed,at the same time compared with theoretical formula for soft soil.Thus it is reached that load testing method is capable of exactly reflecting the actual bearing capacity of foundation.And the finite element method is applied to simulate p-S chart of load testing in the light of practical bearing conditions of soil.
