| Abstract: | The paper is intended to research how the stray currents do damage to buried steel pipeline due to pipeline corrosion and stray current strength.When a corrosion leakage accident is found on a buried steel city gas pipeline during the field inspection,a bellhole is digged to make measurements.More problems are found that there are seven leakage holes and fourteen corrosion defects on the pipe in the range of ten meters.On the basis of gathering related information and making some surveys,the cause of accidents are analyzed.And then the causes are confirmed by more inspecations.A final conclusion is drawn that urban direct stray currents can make more damage to steel pipeline than alternating stray currents.In the end,some advice for the pipeline region hearby the location of the accident is given. |
