| Abstract: | This paper analyzes and studies the damage stability, loading constraints, structural arrangement and modification techniques during the design process of transforming the oil tanker "DAQING 436" from single hull to double hull; and proposes some countermeasures such as adding double sides to make the ship satisfy new regulations. |
