Structure Design Optimization of a 21000 DWT Multi-purpose Cargo Ship

This study solves the double bottom structure design that can hold 5 layers of containers and other structure strength related problems of some key areas by means of finite element analysis;and achieves the reduction of hull weight on the premise of satisfying structure strength.The construction convenience is fully considered so that redundant functions are eliminated to significantly reduce the construction cost and resources;as well as to minimize the impact on the environment,thus realizing the green design concept of economical,safe and environmental-friendly.
