Abstract: | To make train movement simulation have good correlation with practical railway transportation, the comparison between calculation results based on train traction calculation method and measured data from the train running monitor and record device is investigated in this study. According to the differences between the numerical model and actual data, the key cause leading to the inaccuracy is identified, the impacts of track layout and train formation to the calculation errors of train grade resistance are revealed. A model is subsequently proposed, which can be used to correct the calculation errors based on measured data through theoretical deduction and experiments. Calculation results of the model and that of the earlier model are compared with the measured data respectively, and the results show that the former model matches the measured data better. The proposed model can describe train dynamics more accurately, and the average of the calculation errors decreases from 14% to 5%. Now, the new model has been successfully applied into energy-efficient freight train operation guidance system with diesel locomotive. |
