| Abstract: | The theme - rheme theory illustrates the universal rule of textual organization and demonstrates itself in various aspects. On grasping the technique to establish proper thematic structure and to employ the theme progressive modes, Chinese students will find it easier to acquire sentential diversity, thematic clarity and textual cohesion. |
