| Abstract: | The paper introduces a fully automated and unmanned container yard for pre-loaded container in the second-phase terminals in Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao port. The yard utilizes a relay type of handling process on the container yard with own intellective property, higher or lower frame of RMG (Rail mounted Gantry Crane), and transit platform. The process combines a digital communication technology with an automation technology and 3D yard management and planning technology to realize an efficient automatic handling to the container. |
