| Abstract: | In this paper, the basic concept of highway preventive maintenance is illustrated. The necessity of preventive maintenance for asphalt pavement, the development of maintenance scheme, and the common preven- tive maintenance measures are introduced. Enhancing preventive maintenance can not only extend the service life of pavement but also reduce the working hour and cost of maintenance and provide the community with a safe and efficient traffic service. |
