| Abstract: | By setting up a mechanical model of a wheel under braking, the control law of antilock braking for a wheel was studied in the paper based on the sliding mode control method in the modern control theory. A new analytical expression for the control law of antilock braking for a wheel was proposed. With the numerical simulation on the model described, the dynamic characteristics of the antilock braking system with the control law stated above was qualitatively illustrated. The results of this study can be referred to as the theoretical base and computational method for the dynamic design of an antilock braking system. |
