中国城市交通问题剖析及改善对策

Discussion on Urban Transportation lssues & Countermeasures

In regards of typical issues existing in the urban trans- portation development process, this paper diagnoses the fundamen- tal urban transportation problems from different aspects, including urban planning, traffic composition, demand-supply relation, transportation systems structure, infrastructure construction, information facilities construction, and integrated regional transportation. The paper then offers suggestions as solutions to these problems, including a concurrent adjustment of urban spatial structure, industry deployment, and functional supporting facilities planning, an understanding of the urban transportation systems structure that features an adjusting mechanism of high flexibility, a reasonable formulation of goals and policies for public transportation development, a differ- ential supply pattern, a better utilization of the existing transportation infrastructure, an emphasis on functional classification of urban transportation systems and resources allocation, and the development of regional transportation network.
